The main aim of this research paper is to examine empirically the link between public investment in human capital and economic growth Algeria over period 1990-2017. In fact, authorities spend annually considerable funds make both education health available for all citizens as they are vital elements a better life. This political action which well understood from social perspective should have also some benefits especially terms growth. Scholars strongly argued crucial importance investing spur context, current tends assess impact spending devoted components on Algeria. To do so, study used annual time series data government expenditures these two sectors ranged 1990 2017, employs estimation autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach. finding that there no cointegrating relationship variables long run. result line with many previous studies other developing countries. basically supports idea would not inevitably lead lessons learnt experience emerging economies denote preliminary conditions be set up association possible. Government alone cannot induce if corruption prevails resources inefficiently allocated. Also, it quality matters. Algeria, despite funding sectors, service offered inside schools hospitals still poor. Thus, increasing numbers doctors leave country because believe work suitable.
